This colloquium will be all about liquid-crystal spatial light modulators (SLMs) and their applications in Biophotonics, such as creating optical traps, use them as programmable Fourier-filters with similar behaviours as classic microscopy techniques and further benefits of using SLMs in optical imaging and trapping.
